About Badminton Court Flooring

What Makes a BWF Approved Badminton Floor?

BWF (Badminton World Federation) mandates precise specifications for court flooring used in sanctioned events: force reduction (minimum 25%), vertical deformation (between 2.3mm and 5mm) and surface friction (coefficient 0.4–0.6). These parameters protect athletes from joint impact injuries and ensure consistent shuttle flight conditions.

ENLIO — China's No.1 PVC sports flooring brand and the official court at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games table tennis (and BWF major events) — produces flooring to these exact specifications. The Crystal Sand surface texture is specifically engineered for badminton: enough grip to prevent slipping, smooth enough for fast lateral footwork.

Spectrum Products is the authorised India distributor for ENLIO, supplying and installing BWF-approved PVC flooring for academies, schools, clubs and multi-sport halls across all 28 states.

Our Advantage

Why ENLIO from Spectrum

Olympic & World Championship Pedigree
ENLIO flooring was at the Paris 2024 Olympics, BWF World Championships and Badminton Asia Championships. Your academy floor carries the same specification as the world's greatest events.
BWF Approved — Not Just Claimed
ENLIO holds official BWF approval — independently tested and certified by the federation. Many suppliers claim "BWF grade" without certification. Spectrum provides the original approval document with every installation.
Athlete-Grade Joint Protection
Multi-layer cushioning reduces impact on knees, ankles and hips during explosive lateral movement. Force reduction ≥25% is the BWF minimum — ENLIO systems consistently exceed it.
Professional Installation
Correct subfloor preparation and adhesive application are critical for BWF performance. Our installation teams are trained in ENLIO's installation protocol and provide a signed completion report.
Full Documentation
BWF approval certificate, ENLIO product datasheet, Spectrum installation report and warranty card — all provided in your project dossier.
Portable Option Available
ENLIO modular court tiles can be installed, removed and relocated. Ideal for multi-purpose halls that host badminton events periodically without a permanent flooring commitment.

Buyer's Guide

How to Buy the Right Badminton Court Floor

01
Permanent or Portable?
If the hall is dedicated to badminton or has at least 60% badminton usage, invest in permanent PVC roll flooring (better performance, longer life, lower long-term cost). If the space is shared or events-only, modular tiles are the better choice.
02
Do You Need BWF Approval?
For national-level tournaments, district championships or state association events, BWF-approved flooring is mandatory. For academies, schools and recreational clubs, BWF-grade specification is strongly recommended but the approval label is not required.
03
How Many Courts?
A 24m × 14m hall fits 2 badminton courts with full surround. A 36m × 16m hall fits 4 courts. Specify your hall dimensions and we'll calculate exact quantities and layout options.
04
What Colour?
Green is the most common. Blue is popular for competition aesthetics. Red, grey and orange are available. Court lines in white are standard (BWF-compliant marking included in installation).
05
Check Your Subfloor
PVC flooring requires a flat, clean, dry concrete or tile subfloor. Unevenness > 3mm over 2m must be levelled before installation. Our team surveys the subfloor before quoting.
06
Verify BWF Documentation
Ask for the ENLIO BWF approval certificate number and cross-reference it on the BWF website. Spectrum Products provides this with every order.
Frequently Asked Questions

Badminton Court FAQs

What is the cost of one badminton court flooring in India?
A single BWF-approved badminton court (13.4m × 6.1m plus surround ≈ 100 sq m) costs approximately ₹1,10,000–₹1,80,000 installed with ENLIO PVC flooring from Spectrum Products. This includes flooring, adhesive, line marking and installation labour.
Is ENLIO flooring genuinely BWF approved?
Yes. ENLIO holds official BWF approval — verifiable on the BWF website. Spectrum Products is the authorised India distributor. Every installation comes with the original BWF approval certificate in your project dossier.
How long does PVC badminton flooring last?
ENLIO PVC badminton flooring lasts 8–12 years under academy-level use (6–8 hours per day). Regular cleaning with neutral detergent extends floor life significantly. The warranty covers manufacturing defects for 8 years.
Can ENLIO PVC flooring be installed over existing tiles?
Yes, provided the tiles are flat, firmly adhered, clean and free of major undulations. Our team assesses the existing subfloor before confirming. In some cases, a levelling screed is required.
What is the difference between Crystal Sand and Pebble surface?
Crystal Sand is ENLIO's competition-specification surface — uniform micro-texture for consistent shuttle-to-floor clearance and precise footwork grip. Pebble surface is a multi-purpose texture suitable for badminton, basketball, volleyball and gym use.
Can I install badminton court lines over the flooring myself?
No. BWF-compliant court marking requires specific width (38–40mm), colour (white) and tape or paint process per specification. Our installation team applies all court lines as part of the installation. Self-applied tape is not considered a permanent solution.
